guillermo del toro's story telling in this is amazing. it's a perfect mix of fantasy and horror, all while being set in the reality of war. its just an iconic movie that i think everyone should watch at least once in their lives.
honorable mention:
- aftersun: an a24 banger that i feel like people haven't watched yet. its the definition of a slow burn. made me feel too many emotions that i've neverrrr experienced after watching other movies
