anything from Gaspar Noe or Harmony Korine or Joachin Trier - last one probably being one of my all time fav directors. movies would be Mister Lonely, The Sweet East, Aftersun of the top of my head
guillermo del toro's story telling in this is amazing. it's a perfect mix of fantasy and horror, all while being set in the reality of war. its just an iconic movie that i think everyone should watch at least once in their lives. honorable mention:
- aftersun: an a24 banger that i feel like people haven't watched yet. its the definition of a slow burn. made me feel too many emotions that i've neverrrr experienced after watching other movies
i know this sounds so obvious but since i went back to print publications inspiration has sky rocketed. the itnernet is a loop of adverts being fed to you and i just love love love the act of seeing something i like - carefully cutting it - adding to my sketchobook - growing my collection of beautiful refs yummy yummy
