Two people finally getting together and letting themselves give in to their desires after a long build up of sexual tension. Experiencing joy and intimacy and comfort together. Laughing, fucking, dancing, smoking a joint, eating cereal, taking a bath together, hanging out all night and falling in love. Just getting lost in someone for a little while. It’s also a reminder of the way bodies used to be portrayed on screen. Costner is fit, but not dehydrated and cut and oiled up. He is hairy and has a slight paunch making it real and all the more sensual. Sarandon is lithe but it’s not her body that makes her hot--it’s the way she laughs, teases, slinks and casts her seductive stare. I'm not sure it's my absolute favorite, but it's one of the most romantic sequences I've ever seen.

it's a sports movie about eroticism?!! It has everything! Slutty Susan Sarandon, Walt Whitman quotes, speeches about long wet kisses, and Kevin Costner in a kimono! They just don't make major motion pictures like this anymore it's really a shame

a beautiful sexy exciting suspensful hell yeah of a movie. campy and high brow if you're of the epicurean pursasion or within that idealogical vicinity when it comes to movies. it makes a lot of heavyhanded stylized assertions which are good and cool, but it balances out with the subtly genius writing and tender sapphic love story.

coming of age movie about grappling w ur burgeoning sexuality and your sudden onset craving for human flesh at the same time. we've all been there before this was the first movie to make me feel Seen.. like julia ducournau made it specifically for me and nobody else.. not sure what that says about me but i’ll treasure this movie forever

a study issued last month found that dancing is the most effective way of treating and mitigating depression. Walking, therapy, and yoga also outpaced SSRIs. and if you're saying 'oh this was probably funded by Big Dance', there's no evidence of that and if you're saying 'that's just what a Big Dance shill would say', well honey you're right
