🔥in fall/winter im obsessed with: Hot cereal
aka MaltOMeal
aka Cream of Wheat
aka Farina a relic of the 1950s but its like a beautiful blank canvas it whips up in boiled water in 2.5 minutes and you can add infinite stuff to it. i add in: chopped dates, frozen blueberries, cinnamon, flax seeds, hemp hearts, coconut oil, maple syrup ❄️🧊spring/summer: chia seed pudding i love meal prepping !!!! and theres something magic that happens when u let nuts and fruit soak i make 4 days worth with: a can of coconut milk divided between the 4, chopped walnuts, a fruit (apple, kiwi are great) and you can sneak in whatever else like as bee pollen, spirulina, goji berries, chlorella, honey, vanilla, moringa ect ect its so easy and its drinkable gotta shoutout Alive Herbals on Nostrand, they have all the good healthy add-ins
it's my breakfast obsession, as a fruit enjoyer and fiber enthusiast. (protein is so overrated) here's my daily recipe ➸ Mix 1 cup Soy milk, 1 capfull Vanilla & a sprinkle of Stevia in a little pitcher • Mix 3 tbsp Chia & 1 tsp Adaptogen powder in a bowl • Combine the milk + seeds, stir them good then leave them alone to set • Chop whichever nuts and fruits i have • Pour all that on the pudding, then i mix it up and eat it while i listen to some #music
also quicker to make
use soy milk instead of water
add frozen fruit of ur choice
the contrast of the cold fruit and hot mush is so nice
i just had a bowl rn
also a nice alternative to sugary fattening desserts
ummmm yeah...it rocks
my recipe:
1/3 c coaches oats
1c water
pinch of salt
cinnamon stick (not optional)
pumpkin seeds (optional)
nuts (optional)
banana
butter
milk add water, cinnamon stick, salt to pot to boil.
once boiling, add oats, nuts, seeds. boil on medium heat til it's the texture you like.
add all to bowl.
top with a pat of butter, molasses, ripe banana, milk, sprinkle of ground cinnamon, maybe a little bit of another sweetener if you want (brown sug or maple syrup for me)...hemp hearts are good too. remove cinnamon stick.
i was gazing at a photo of my grandma and was thinking about how stylish she was, and how much i loved how she decorated. i was combing through all the decor i could see in the photo and saw the wall tapestry, and a wave of nostalgia hit me. i decided to try to find a similar one to hang in her honor. per usual ebay was the jackpot
💗
nothing like getting some good quality time with myself and my own thoughts + my higher power. really good ideas come to me during meditation & im making a habit of always saying yes to them.
I live alone in a tiny studio in NYC & I finally got in the habit of programming my mini coffee maker every night so that I wake up to the smell (&sounds) of freshly brewing coffee the next morning... it works in conjunction with my alarm & it brings me so much joy. Just a little modern convenience that gives me the motivation I need to hop out of bed on time & start the day on a caffeinated foot!
