Watched this sitting on the floor with my mouth AGAPE for half of it. A descent into cold wet isolated madness. Dafoe’s stream of insults was one of the most impressive monologues I’ve ever seen.
probably one of the most unique and weird movies i've ever seen, every time i rewatch it i notice something new. only robert pattinson and willem dafoe could get me to sit still for an hour and a half watching a movie about two dudes in a 19th-century lighthouse
I recently had my third time watching this film. The last time I watched this movie was with my mom. Why did I show my mom this film? Anyway I watched this for my intro to cinema class. It is still surreal and horrifying! I absolutely love the final moments of the film. You can tell that a lot of detail went into making pretty much everything in this film the way it is. The two main actors do a top notch job. I love the vibe this film has. Very dreamlike and unique. I feel like on this rewatch I have enjoyed the small acting and comedic aspects of the film more.
the best lit nightmare. gorgeously shot, perfect score, best opening sequence i’ve seen in ages! really, really fun, and also really, really unsettling and hard to watch at times. memorable and insane.
some people go their whole lives without experiencing something they want to do or allowing themselves to try something. the rules are made up. you are not too old for anything
a study issued last month found that dancing is the most effective way of treating and mitigating depression. Walking, therapy, and yoga also outpaced SSRIs. and if you're saying 'oh this was probably funded by Big Dance', there's no evidence of that and if you're saying 'that's just what a Big Dance shill would say', well honey you're right
