also one of my favorite shoegaze albums is beat by bowery electric. superb wall of sound, trip-hop drums and sparse lyrics.

Listen. shoegaze is fucking dope. not novel but it’s even better when it’s scary. I would recommend the song Thursday on Wings of Joy. The whole album is just out of control. The beautiful nymphette vocals that sound right out of the BCE, the liberal strings, the suspense, the drama. sounds like taking one too many oxycontin. last time i did that it was 2016 but i was listening to spooky black x clams casino (obviously)

local nashville shoegaze band. they get to levels of sound walls and blastbeat drumming that are wild alone just to reach, but then they sustain that energy to an insane effect

i fucking LOVE mailing lists. you get vip information from the stuff you really care about, in a non-intrusive format, no ads, no scrolling, no bullshit. artists, labels, venues, educational centers, galleries, film centers, art collectives, clothing brands. anything you want to support/attend/take part of probably has a mailing list, i just look at my "promotions" tab in gmail once a day to glance over anything that could be interesting.
PRO TIP: unsubscribe from all of the things you don't care about, e.g. the uniqlo newsletter from that one time you bought some heattech undergarments and sold your soul (used your email) for a 10% discount.
