insane medieval horror. kept me up because it was so harrowing and gross but also so so gripping. i literally emailed the author afterwards because it was so good
i feel like iโve recโd this before, but it really is so good. medieval, religious horror with evil angels, a corrupt monk, a disgraced knight, a big creature in the river, murderous statues, etc.
itโs a haunted house story told from the perspectives of a husband and wife dealing with a tough transition. itโs got this fascinating and unsettling mystery and the relationship between the couple is so well written. technically a horror novel but iโd say itโs more creepy than scary. definitely one of my favorites of all time!
