I actually don’t recognize baby pics of myself because I’m not wearing this mascara. In fact, I didn’t wear any mascara as a kid… This clumpy ass, double-ended dildo ass, 12 dollar ass mascara is my best friend. If I’m not wearing it, I’m ugly. If I am wearing it, I’m fat Twiggy.

Its changed a bit however..

For a while I did the thick black circles drawn around/on my eyes à la the movie Daisies. now I just swipe on a purple almost black looking eyeshadow (claropsyche), milk mascara, And I use Charlotte tilbury Hollywood honey lipliner for that lip tint 🙈🙈

i’m still learning eye shadow at 32 and have always regretted eyeliner attempts so here we are lmao
since i don’t buy foundation/blush/other products regularly i splurge a little on the mascara, lately loving Lancôme Lash Idôle 🖤

LOOKING UP THE PEOPLE ON HEADSTONES AT CEMETERIES

I had to go to Greenwood Cemetery for a class last semester, and many famous people like Leonard Bernstein and Jean-Michel Basquiat are buried there, but I stumbled upon this woman’s grave that read “FORTUNATE DESPERATE TRUSTFUL” and I was so upset by the idea of someone putting desperate on my grave that I had to look her up. her name was Eleonora Duse, apparently she was often known as just Duse (so chic), she was an amazing Italian actress, muse, and, importantly, was involved in numerous lesbian love affairs. I think it’s in many ways much more respectful to learn about the people you pass by, rather than just letting them go on unacknowledged and unknown.
