I prefer Emily Wilsonâs Odyssey and it was the edition I taught from when I taught the Odyssey for a university classâ her language is accessible/readable and very intentional, and I think she approaches classics through a womanist lens that really makes her edition stand out. But it depends on what youâre looking for; some author prioritize maintaining style/form in translation, others are literal, and it depends on what you prefer to read.
