Just saw a performance of HADESTOWN in London! Had a great time, although it's tough not to compare it with the studio album and cast recording from America. The band were superb and most of the cast were great. I wasn't so pleased with the choice to keep natural accents for singing โ made a lot of lines / rhymes feel quite forced. Certainly picked up in the second half, which is where the meat off the thing really is.
