I love this movie so much. Anders Thomas Jensen is like the European version of early-2000s Judd Apatow. Only with Anders’ movies, the humor is dark as fuck and so weird in a perfectly imperfect way. Plus, Mads Mikkelsen is the Seth Rogen to Anders‘ Judd and Madds is that fucking guy.
Of all of Anders’ movies, RIDERS is probably the most digestible for an American audience. This movie will make you cry, smile, but mostly will make you laugh your ass off. There’s a sweet family story in overlaid throughout but the bad boy crew moments are where the laughs come in. What a fucking crew of characters this team is. And how about that barn?? Go see this asap.

Perfect movie. I just saw they are making an english language remake (original is in Danish) which is insane to me?? It needs no remake, it is perfect. On hulu! Watch to laugh and cry and think.

JUST WATCH IT. SO good! andrew scott and paul mescal are fantastic in this. the entire movie is fantastic. sad….but optimistic and inspiring. 10/10
