Every summer as a kid, we would load up and drive the nine hours from Pittsburgh to Connecticut. It was always a celebration and a sign that we arrived when we were able to roll down the windows and smell the marsh near our grandparents house. Both of them have passed now, but I still make a point to drive by it when I visit.

Wes Anderson wrote it best when he said "its the smells we finally don't forget" (or something like that). No better, nostalgic, melancholy rush than when a random coffee smells exactly the same as one from your favorite cafe from years ago. Or when hand soap at a restaurant smells just like her. Such a crazy experience and I cherish each time it happens

Kind of weird but my grandma’s basement always had that musty smell and my siblings and I used to run down to smell it the second we arrived. I miss it these days

Humans have always danced. It is part of who we are, yet we have been conditioned to be self conscious, to think that we do not move our bodies good enough. Dancing is beyond judgement. Dancing is not a skill, it is our soul moving through our bodies, expressed in movement. Dancing is healing. Dancing is bodily autonomy. Dancing is FUN! Any feeling you are feeling can be moved through with dance yet even alone, you fear looking foolish. Kill the judge in your mind, shut the fuck up, and MOVE 🌊
