MP has done it again… perhaps with my favorite album yet. blending their punk influence with catchy hooks ie. title track of the album, tows the line between a song for moshing and something that could be on the radio. MP displays they are masters of contrast and in finding the perfect tension between soft and heavy. flanger-ed out guitar solo in “nothing like” hits deep in my body… fans of indie rock, punk, shoegaze, folk even, will enjoy

it’s sooooo goood its sooooooooooooo goood. the beautiful anthemic melodic power pop songs up front and the ripping hardcore tracks on the back half, they all hit! lyrics of yearning desire pain and healing delivered with earth-shaking weight, oh yeah!!

Listened to this song the second it dropped and haven't stopped listening to it. There's a line so sacrilegious I laughed out loud the first time I heard it. Impassioned and fierce and fearless on a level few bands can manage.
Easily my most anticipated album of the year.

I mean. Wow. I wish I could formulate coherent literary analysis but I think I just need to sit with this for a month. Humanity, gender, politics, fear, love. The heart of culturally long-lasting, impactful sci fi is when the sci is merely a background to the fi, ya know?
