incredibleee documentary about M.I.A. she’s been documenting her life since she was a kid so we get to see her grow up on camera + the behind the scenes of her rise to fame. apparently she gave over 700 hours of footage to the director, which is insane

such a good documentary!!! i would've become obsesseddddd with this when i was in film school. as a music agent i'm always talking about the importance of knowing your copyright and *personality* rights as an artist, and this does a great job of highlighting that.

a documentary i’ll never get over

Apolonia, Apolonia (2022) documenting a piece of life with it’s ALL with a hand camera and without staging, writing or improvising is all it takes to make me fall in love with a doc, Lea really filmed years of Apolonia’s life with all the ups and downs in it, not only the character but her own too.
