selling my jewelry // would you wear these??
all pieces are crafted from reclaimed vintage rosaries. one of a kind, made with so much care and love. I released 5 pieces on my Instagram (linked) with 10 more dropping 8/7. I‘d love all the feed back!! Do yall like this style? would you wear one? If yes how would you describe your personal style? If yes how much are you willing to spend? what would you like to see more of? If no— tell me all the critical feedback. MORE ABOUT THE PROCESS: After a jewelry intensive where I learned to form and solder and transform all sorts of metals I wondered what would come next for my new obsession. While refining my technical craft I was curious how to create a body of work that I felt moved by. as I’ve undergone my own rejection and transformation of Christianity I’ve still found myself pulled back towards religious imagery. My camera roll is full of illustrations of Jesus, and gaudy crosses make me feel like I’m home. thats how I found myself reinventing vintage rosaries into gorgeous jewelry that can be worn on the daily<3

these are stunning and i would absolutely wear multiple of these.. i think they're very reasonably priced considering the work that went into them but also affordability, i personally wouldn't be mad at having to pay more though. personal style wise, hard to pin down but a lot of 90s/early y2k influence, mostly all black, kinda sl*tty honestly.. i think one of these would fit in beautifully with the kelly bundy vibe i'm trying to curate.. i also think it would be nice to see some gold ones since not everyone wears silver but if you're working with 100% recycled materials then this can go ignored bc i understand that you can only do so much! i genuinely would love to buy one, not sure where u are but would u ship to canada?

I want to actually sell them and be accessible, but would love to make a little profit… LOVE your vibe!! my friend called these “hot & holy” and kind of obsessed with that juxtaposition.. gold is SUCH a good call. Most of the rosaries ive come across are silver, but I should def see my eyes peeled for gold. ayanah pricing is so hard but imo considering the time & effort you're putting into it i think going a little higher is definitely fine!!! also hot & holy is EXACTLY the vibe and what i would hope to convey wearing one.. that's perfect i'm gonna dm u on ig and hopefully we can work something out but no worries if not :~)

If you’re from brooklyn or new york city or just moved here, i know, this is cliche. But i! Don’t! Care! The truffle popcorn is addicting, even if I'm farting for the rest of the movie, it’s worth it. Plus they have cute little trailers to gab about with your date or friend, but i also go alone because nobody tried to have small talk with you at the movies and you can just disassociate peacefully in blissful high-power air conditioning on a hot nyc summer day. They have guest curators on a monthly basis and do fun screenings of old flicks. Highly recommend it. Nitehawk > Alamo.

Shaker square cinemas aka the old colony theater in shaker heights, oh
I have another indie theater that I prefer because it’s cozier, has better vibes, is much closer to me, and everybody who works there is genuinely passionate about film. It’s not really anything special visually but it’s a beautiful institution and it’s so fun to be there ❤️ But this one is an old art deco theatre designed by architect John Eberson (he designed Loew’s Paradise in the Bronx and the Paradise Theatre in Chicago)! It’s pretty run down/poorly managed and staffed but it’s a gorgeous building and definitely worth visiting. Not my photos but included for illustrative purposes!!

Again, I'm using this category as an umbrella so I can list my favorite movies that I think by watching will make everyone's life better or at least distract you from whatever bullshit is going on in your own life for a moment, and put a smile on your face. Maybe you'll even relate to what the characters in the films are going through and you'll feel a little bit less alone and it will change your life forever. These are my favorite movies that I watch over and over again: An Unmarried Woman, Swingers, Annie Hall, Broken English, Girlfriends. Last Days of Disco, and Hannah and Her Sisters. And one of my favorite theaters to watch movies in in New York City is Metrograph. A sanctuary. A safe haven. The programming is extraordinary. And they have a wonderful restaurant upstairs called The Commissary. Run don't walk.

Talk shit about systems… not people
sometimes you gotta talk shit to process but often I think we talk too much shit…. At the end of the day we’re all human beings who are trying the best with what they’ve got. if someone is annoying you/acting mean/unkind it’s most likely all connected to a larger system that did not set them up for success.
