my favorite flick of all time .. two hours of perfect cinematography, perfect acting. i watched this for the first time with my jaw draped and my heart hurt and stung in ways i’ve never felt
i'm pretty sure i'm far from the first to say this, but holy shit. what a movie! i think i sat in the movie theater with my jaw dropped for a big chunk of it. electric, and crackling with tension- both in terms of relationships and the tennis court. some old school 90s sexiness and sexual metaphors, with beautiful shots and impeccable chemistry. just 10s all around for me. i think it's also a perfect movie to watch on a sweaty, sweltering summer day with some lemonade and auntie anne's pretzels (which i did) can't wait to see it again. also i'm obsessed with apparently the notes for the score being "unending homoerotic desire" uhhh yeah! i got that
i loved this movie & no i didn’t watch X first…my bad. IMO you can watch a prequel before the original movie. i mean it’s a PREquel. i can’t stop thinking about her monologue scene where she has no control over her saliva lol. it‘s so real!
