I’m the third person to rec this but whatever, I saw this in full live last night but it’s exciting to have harsh, danceable pop music. Seems good for the moment: Highlights: I Destroyed Disco Perfume All Night You Can Never Go Home

People who say it's merely LCD Soundsystem ripoff or whatever...bro...have you ever heard of a genre? Harrison brings his own special sauce to the electroclash sound, and most importantly, it's fun as hell! Very refreshing in an age where pop music feels stiff and calculated. All the singles are great, especially Perfume. The slower ballads ("Elevation" and "You Can Never Go Home") are a nice change of pace, and the earworm All Night better be a hit. Love the Dylan Brady co-produced I Destroyed Disco too, provocative lines like "what's a blogger to a rocker what's a rocker to The Dare" are bound to bother some Twitter-brained music "fans" I'd think. But yeah. Go into this album expecting a good ass time and make up your own mind.

i remember the time that i showed my parents Election for the first time... then we watched it three times that week. (they wanted to watch it with everyone we knew.) they also recently loved Julio Torres's Problemista.

this is the one. I had always liked music, but there was something about this sound that really hooked me. it really steered me onto the path of electronic pop and shaped my taste from then on out. little me didn't know the sample then–but this ABBA sample and instrumental are still one of the best of all time. (also yes, it still bangs. that era of electronic pop... sexyback had me in a chokehold too.)

saw this collab at the met the other week. it's not a favorite or even a single painting, but the intentional placement added so much and each work was the better for it. @ curators, we should bring back unique installations in galleries. 🤝
