my ideal career path is to be a museum curator however it has come into my brain recently that a museum can be very capitalistic, be made for the rich.. so i host my own galleries, in homes, to bring together local art, free to submit free to visit.. it feels more personal this way

Iโ€™m planning to do the same. Make flyers for it, post them online and irl, make it a party, do it at an air bnb, apartment, abandoned warehouse, wherever. Then you can make the vibe whatever you want, pick the music, make food, whatever you think fits your art. Can do some networking there, who knows whoโ€™ll show up ! If you document it, Iโ€™m sure more established institutions will be impressed at you putting on your own show if you decide to apply for your next collection of work. At the very least, you can throw a fun party with your art on the walls !

- more opportunities for curatorial creativity - you shouldn't need an art history phd to organize exhibitions - punk af - better at creating local community

Its so much fun and inspiring to see others creations and work. Why not support your local art community?

i am a journalist for a local zine & i get to host my first interview today, interviewing a local music venue/kava bar so insanely thrilled. adrenaline thru the roof. getting to learn about someone else, having a conversation with impressive people solely about them, being a listener. everyone should interview, even if itโ€™s not for something published
