autobiographical book on how she dealt with heartbreak (esp after a codependent relationship). Incredibly well done, very human and accepting of mistakes whilst keeping an overall optimistic tone.

my favorite book of all time. it should be required reading for everyone. i hate self-help books but this is a memoir, which made it feel much more real and moving to me. it's filled with shared human experiences so i think we can all take something from it in some way.

When I first started reading this I was in shock because I didn’t know people were allowed to write books like this β€” so incredibly honest in an almost jarring way. I’m already re-reading it. The book is only around 65 pages and is a reflection on a passionate affair Annie had with a married man. She was so obsessed with him in, at times, a very relatable way. It feels so intimate, like you’re reading a personal diary.

I mostly do selfportraits with watercolours inherited from my mum and greatgrandma. I find that it helps me process and communicate emotions + it's easy to get reference pictures. (i also draw other people, like lovers and friends, sometimes)
