do yourself a favor and give it a listen this album is, to me, nearly flawless front to back. it turns 20 this year and feels easily like something that could’ve been released in the past couple of months first listened to it all the way through after hearing subzero fun at the river nyc last summer and it’s become a fav ever since ♥️
a perfect record start to finish. equal parts sunny and subdued, has a 60s softness through a 90s lens. dominique durand’s voice is so soothing - sterolab-ish. i could listen to ”while we’re in love“ on repeat
Honestly, I hate picking favorites when it comes to music. But I'm literally listening to this one right now, and really, there's not a month I haven't heard this album in the last 20 years. And when I listen, it's always the whole thing. How perfect is this album? Just perfect. Is it for you? If you have any room in your heart for perfect pop structures, clean—yet oh so heartfelt—execution and that perfect mix of bitter and sweet. If you like jangly guitars, harmonies and the best qualities of 90s radio, please give it a shot.
