Being comfortable is nice when it’s a reward but as a state of being it’s boring and makes you boring and a boring life is a waste of whatever this is supposed to be. Go be uncomfortable (me talking to me)

i think it’s ok to be boring. to not have anything special unique or interesting going on. i tell myself to find the part of me that i lost - the part i thought was more fun or intriguing or cool, but maybe you lose parts of yourself for a reason. maybe what i’m doing now, the things that make me happy, are the things that are boring. maybe when you tell yourself that what is boring or wrong, you only make the imposter feeling stronger. sometimes i think all you need is someone to think the things you like are cool, no matter how boring or uninteresting they may be. how boring can you or it really be if it makes you happy, and if it gives you meaning.

It’s too common to be comfortable in all situations these days. Nothing goes harder than a good awkward interaction between 2 people who don’t want anything to do with anyone.

If you don’t define yourself by “what you do” then you can comfortably try (and fail usually) at everything. Do what you love until you don’t love it and then do something else. dont equate “what I do” with “with my life”. If you have a canvas and you paint something and you say wow this is garbage, just paint something different!
