I really enjoyed Jacques Audiards A Prophet, which is about life in prison also Claire Denis' Beau Travail it was probably one of the most aesthetically pleasing movies I've seen and I highly recommend Lukas Dhonts Close, I can't even describe how devastating this film was, it's a Belgian film but they speak french so I'd say it counts, it's a must watch imoo.

severely under appreciated xavier dolan movie that i will personally be advertising and advocating for for the rest of my life. .. i had a moment of only watching his films last year and i think he knows how to do what he does extremely well .. i have to recommend just doing a marathon of his films . start with mommy or tom at the farm or somethin and go from there

This past week I went to Film at Lincoln Centers Rendez-Vous with French Cinema and saw some amazing films. Contemporary French cinema is doing really amazing, creative things...
It's so important to interact with media outside what you regularly interact with. If you liked Anatomy of a Fall, there's a chance you'll like some of other films that came out recently.
My top 3 are: La Vénus d'argent, Un métier sérieux, and Le Règne animal.

Anything by her, especially her albums Painless and Inside Out. Her music is hard to categorize and combines a variety of genres. Such a unique sound.

My favorite poem changes frequently, but this one hit me hard recently.
