I don't think our spaces are meant to stay the same forever. And if you buy things used you won't feel bad selling it for something else used at some point. 1-2 times a year I sell and swap out a few items of furniture and then rearrange. It does wonders for the brain and sparking creativity/joy.

I’ve had great luck with good quality, vintage, wood furniture on Facebook marketplace but I also no longer use facebook. I am a huge eBay fan lol. Thrift stores, vintage stores, etc. are an amazing place to find some unique stuff. I’ve gotten some great lamps, coffee table books, glassware/vases, framed wall art. A lot of vintage stuff is going to be built better and of course more unique because it’s older, wasn’t mass produced to the scale that things are today, and especially with the way many people probably though theirs away leaving fewer to find. The price points when thrifting are also great.

in this capitalist hellscape it’s nice that you can search and find almost anything that you need before buying new and u know the money is going to a person rather than a huge company. it’s better for the environment and for the people. you can also save searches so you get all the new listings for what ur searching for, like a couch or bedframe.

Coupes, cups, martinis, flutes, wine - you can get it all for 25-50¢ a piece. And they're often gorgeous. I love my little collection.

Walk on the beach, pick up rocks. Hike, pick up rocks. Find a red, then an orange, yellow, green, and so on. It's very meditative and relaxing! Bonus points if you leave pretty ones somewhere for someone else to find.

This isn't an ad!!! I switched over to Capital One almost 10 years ago and haven't looked back. No foreign transaction fees and I rack up points quickly to cover my flights.
