Handwritten notes & diagrams

Recently I bought a little pack of palm-sized notebooks in an effort to be more “analog” with my notes and thoughts (pretentious, I know). With a world of increasing options, I’ve found I am all over the place with my notes. I have some in Apple Notes, some in Notion, a few in other random apps I’ve accumulated over the years, and I’m sure others in places I forget. For the past month I’ve used these handwritten notebooks and it’s like something finally clicked for me. Just a quick jot away, I’ve got a pad filled and another started, with drawings/diagrams of ideas for projects and little notes I want to be able to look back on. Just make sure if you do this you pair those notebooks with some muji pens or your preferred writing tool for the ultimate experience.

having A little Notebook w you whenever you have a book

I got so frustrated with losing beautiful sentences and ideas that Now when I’m reading I have a note book where I write down the sentences I like or make notes of the pages/ideas I actually go back to them it’s game changing

Multi-Color Pens

For the rapid note-takers & analogue homies, this is my underrated “hack” for lazy writers who don’t have time to organize the layout of their notes but need to establish clear contexts for something being written (heading, bullet point, styling). This is nothing new but it’s rarely brought up (sometimes I have to remind myself)

Florist - Florist

Florist’s self-titled is gentle, sonically diverse, and poetic. “Someone told me once ’you better not let this pass’ Sometimes I think I have too many pasts So what do you think, should we just be here on the land? Listening to the sounds of life around us pass Careful not to tread on anything needing rest” from “Feathers” It’s a quiet, folky spirtualism. There are also these ambient, field recording-y interludes sandwiched between songs, and it’s so, so good.

Traveler’s notebook

I have tried many a notebook, and what drives me crazy is the mish mash of daily lists, journal entries, and random plans/quotes/poem drafts. The separation gives me a peace of mind. The accesories are, unfortunately, very fun. Huge tip, use large, bendy paper clips to make this or, frankly, any notebook lay flat.
