not a fashion expert but i do spend a lot of time scrolling through depop and buying new clothes ! the best advice i can give is that a shirt with a little bit of spice can never go wrong, whether that’s a unique colour, an interesting pattern or a nice material. this shirt i bought is my go-to formalwear and i usually combo it with a pair of tux trousers or even some corduroys if im feeling experimental. shoe wise cant go wrong with a pair of browns (I can typically get away with wearing some brown docs for a formal event but you do whats appropriate). jacket not needed but certainly an option. hope the search goes well!

I bought him a top and he loved it so much he changed into it immediately. On the crowded streets. Sorry this is shallow af hahahaha but the top really made him look good!! We got a lot of glances later and all the boys were checking him out <3 I was also kind of shocked and touched!

An incredible, genre-defying film from Johnnie To that uses Judo as the philosophical foundation for its story of three people looking for more out of life. You see them thrown to the ground repeatedly in its 95 mins, but more than anything, it's a film about the importance of getting back up. Over, and over, and over. It features a deftly hidden twist and a couple incredibly dynamic sequences (the arcade scene and the night club centerpiece) that I had to rewind and watch again. Outstanding cinematography and inventive choreography in almost every scene, whether it's 4 conversations woven together at once or a 1-on-1 Judo match in the tall grass.

It's 20 minutes of shredding and lyrics about climate change anxiety, and I listen to the whole thing every time. Linked: the live performance I saw of it a month ago in Portland, fittingly, during a torrential downpour.

That was the real name of the tour. Carol booklets were handed out at the door, and every couple songs they'd spin the giant wheel on stage to choose a carol to sing with the crowd. Props, costumes, the whole nine yards. Without question, the best and most unique concert I've ever seen. I caught it December 16, 2012 at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland, but I grabbed this photo from the Internet because I'm pretty sure my only photos lived on a flip phone.
