Stanley Kubrick’s contribution to horror is a masterpiece of a film. Jack Nicholson has one of his best performances of his career and Shelley Duvall perfectly matches him. This movie fills you with dread and with every rewatch, you discover something new about the film.
Maybe it's because I had to write 4 essays about the movie & book in college, but I'm obsessed with The Shining! Also honourable mentions to The Descent and Murnau's Nosferatu!
