You need to focus and can't waste time and spiraling into socials is so tempting I get that. I started deleting apps and when time'll pass and I'll be free I can decide whether to re-install them or not

❌or whichever app is your go-to for numbing! currently reading the new Dean Spade (love in a fucked up world) and felt soooo moved by the 2nd chapter on patterns of behavior that we use to numb/dissociate (such as repeatedly opening an app/scrolling it with no intention)

🔌i recently began to ask myself why am i using all these apps and do i really need all of them, and i started realizing that the things i’ll miss out with these apps is so much more than without them, i knew i had the idea that my worth was tied to my online presence and i’m happy that i’m getting rid of that mentality.. i had so many memories in my snapchat account but i ended up deleting the account and the app because if i didn't do it than i may never, later that day i removed my twitter accounts and the app from my phone and i’m so glad i did, and i replaced them with healthier and less time consuming apps till i decrease my screen time gradually

❌Deleted tiktok and finished three books in a week. I should’ve deleted the app sooner. It’s actually so insane how ingrained tiktok scrolling has been in my daily routine. without the app I was just scrolling through the most random apps ever, then realized like damn this is a problem 😭 I miss it bad but I also don’t need it. Twitter is next 🙏 I need to fill my time with productive and fulfilling activities, no more mindless scrolling ‼️
