This movie did not get the recognition it deserved. Not only was the acting phenomenal, but the sequence of the giant 1920’s party was something that had to be witnessed in theaters. It’s chaotic in the best way and deals with amazing themes on the obscurities that take place in Hollywood.
Hadn‘t heard the best things about it so expectations were low (always a good thing) and the movie ended up being amazing and the end scene was insane. Especially in a theatre when you weren’t expecting it. Also score so fire so hearing it so loud was awesome.
A truly terrible mega pretentious flop of a film that shows how out of touch our elites are, beware of old men talking about Ancient Rome!!! But watching this at Peckhamplex was one hell of a night… as the story/dialogue/aesthetic sensibility got more and more incoherent normal cinema etiquette was completely thrown out the window, ppl were laughing and shouting at the screen, I love a packed out audience experience <3
I don’t know much information about this artist/group, other than that Dean Blunt is somehow affiliated, but their music is like Mazzy Star meets Dean Blunt. I hate comparing art to other art but that’s the best way i can describe them besides alternative rock. Great slow rock music that everyone needs to give a listen. My favorite song of theirs came out this September, titled Jawbreaker. If anyone knows more info about them please share.
