I shamefully I only recently discovered Blackfoot even though I’ve listened to different genres of rock my whole life. However, when I find something new it makes me appreciate it even more. It’s like unlocking a new file tab in my brain…it just does something special!

It may be my avoidant or counter culture tendencies, but with the prevalence of brat summer I wanna go in the opposite direction with this bluegrass album. I feel a resurgence in actual country music now that post-9/11 reactionary conservative country has gone full on brain rot. (it literally struck me so hard when I realized pop-country music is just childrens music for maga.) So I’m happy to start finding the true voices of the genre.

I’m not sure what it is but this app just feels like a safe space. Like I can say whatever I want (within reason) and not be judged for it! My stuff might be seen by 2 or 200 people but it’s not there to be objectified by the ever critical eye of the public consumer. I feel like everything has to perfect for Instagram and Twitter scares me…but here I can express what I want and not worry 🫶🏻
