Ingredients:
π 1 loaf flat Turkish bread (but really, any bread)
π§ 1 garlic clove
π
1 tomato (dealer's choice)
π§ 1 fresh mozzarella (the one in water, burrata if you're feeling β¨fancyβ¨)
π« Extra virgin olive oil
πΏ Basil
π§ Salt
Method:
1. Slice that bread, toast it in your favourite way (I go face down in a pan until crispy inside, soft outside).
2. Cut the garlic in half and rub it all over the bread for a *touch* of garlic flavour.
3. Grate the tomato (I use a cheese grater) and spread on the bread in a thick layer.
4. Slice up the mozzarella into discs and place on top of tomato.
5. Basil and olive oil to taste. Salt if you want the salty.
Optional, but delicious additions I've tried:
- Thinly sliced prosciutto
- avocado
- any kind of pickles
- roast peaches
- dukkah
- leafy greens
- eggs of any kind
Can also be:
- a fun caprese salad sans bread
- a solid sandwich
- a bruschetta if you make it π€ tiny

Take you favourite old bread.
Toast it until itβs burnt to a crisp.
Make yourself a cup of tea while you wait for your bread to be toasted.
Rub garlic on the toast.
Take tomatoβs and add on top.
Drizzle a dot of bitter olive oil over the toast.
Add a shit ton of pepper and a lil bit of salt.

toast some really good sourdough bread until itβs lightly browned then slather some Brie cheese on it
While the Brie is getting melty, spread some pesto around in a frying pan and let it heat up before cracking an egg into it
slide your pesto-y egg into the toast when itβs fried to your liking
I think this will be good with a side of arugula with a squeeze of lemon but Iβm always too impatient to do anything but scarf it down
