like yes absolutely be financially savvy and have savings but money is meant to be circulated in the economy through the exchange of goods and services, not endlessly collecting interest in someone’s bank account also like billionaires just shouldn’t exist
we need to bring back those ancient greek/roman principles where ultra wealthy people literally competed with one another to build public infrastructure and fund pro-social artefacts and institutions so they could be admired by the normies
A phrase that has probably been overused by that friend who has done a few too many substances and watched a few too many YouTube videos with <10 likes, BUT it's true. If you want to know where allegiances lie, this is a good place to start. Especially when it comes to "neutral" wealthy benefactors or even corporations that claim to be apolitical.
