I loooooooove looking through a physical copy of arch digest for interior design inspiration. Everything in there is too damn expensive but they’re nice to look at lol. Also please comment other magazines of the same vibe I love print media it should not be a dying medium!

I’ve had a growing interest in “premium magazines”, I love reading something in magazine format that’s put together with a little extra care,  bound with a solid spine, and a more substantial paper stock. My most recent foray into premium mags is the architectural review - which explores different architects (dead or alive) and their work, with building plans, final products, reflections, collages, and so much more. It’s a joy to flip through, both to appreciate the art of the architecture itself as well as the layout and design of the zine.

you will get all the inspiration you ever need out of archival magazines. My favorite eras are the 60s-90s because the ads slap stylistically even though they’re sometimes entirely misogynistic. My favorite old magazines are playboy, naturally, architectural digest, and this other home mag called apartment life. You can buy a stack of like 10 on eBay for $20 or so and it’s totally worth it.

🎪 Cabana (amazing interiors + each issue comes covered in dead stock fabric from a luxury brand) 🏸 racquet mag (explores the niche of tennis and other racquet sports) 🪄 a magazine curated by (Dan thawley is my idol!!!) 🪆 the gentlewoman (Penny Martin is also my idol) 🌸 BLUMENHAUS (deserves its own rec tbh— the most gorgeous large-format mag all about flowers, florals, plants, and gardening)

I took it in a canon rebel g that I was lucky enough to find at an estate sale for about $20 and it’s by far my favorite pic I’ve ever taken! I think the film is like fujifilm ISO 400 or something idk but I love the colors it brings out
