i’ve been really trying to read the classics this year! a short classic that can easily be done in one sitting is “the stranger”, it was profound for its time and is only 144 pages long. i actually haven’t finished it in one sitting yet to be honest, but i'm trying to get back into reading so i haven’t found the proper time to give it my full attention… but im sure someone else totally could! i’m just not quite there yet…
Short, interpretative, absurd. for people who like thinkijg hard about what the hell the author means by what theyre writing. Camus made alot of sense in the book, he sensed like he had never sensed before
revenge, love, mystery read it for the first time this year / it's long! this book really leans into the story-within-a story: wherein a character will tell a many-page first person tale that provides insight, context, or fills in holes loved reading the clothbound classics edition
finished this book in one sitting- truly disturbing on so many levels. simply could not put it down after finishing the first chapter harrowing & at the same time completely neurotic and surreal
i think people don’t utilize their local libraries enough when they’re such wonderful resources! one of my favorite things to stem from the library and library cards is the app “libby”! it’s an amazing way to get free books, audiobooks, and magazines digitally. completely free if you have a library card (which are also totally free!) go support your local library!
