every time i hear this album i just find it to be so ahead of its time. i feel like nowadays you hear a good handful of folks trying to achieve this sort of sound (perhaps dehd or the memories), but dude was doing it in 2004, and doing it WELL (and sounded much more depressed while doing so). top tracks: jake - keep it together better off dead alright little bit more intro

Really love this whole album that came out earlier this year. It's filled with these amazing blends of rock and hip-hop beats that ends up with a very novel sound. This song is one of the chiller parts of the album but the whole thing is fantastic if you ask me. The themes of the album are pretty heavy on despair / hopelessness at times but it's a feeling you can sit with and process.

former black midi frontman brings his suave voice and dense lyricism to a solo act; the title delivers: while some tracks have an air of familiarity to them, greep definitely ventures into new sonic territory with this work. standout track: Holy, Holy (spotify link)

honestly one of the few artists from this era of electronic music that I still go back to and whose new output I'm still keeping up with. Dreamstone was the first vinyl i ever got and the Hieroglyphics, Search of the Miraculous, and Art is Dead EPs are still no skippers for me. these releases CARRIED me through my sadboy years. if you like bass music, UK garage, or lofi-hip hop i highly recommend giving Sorrow a listen. some top songs of his: Lover's Charm (linked) Mourner No More Hesitation Never Too Far Girl I Miss You Qualm This Way (Asa & Sorrow Remix)
