a good story with lots of negative space
I just finished Play it as it Lays. My first Didion novel. Not a huge commitment time wise but it‘s sticking with me.
My senior quote in my high school yearbook was “I know what nothing means and I keep playing”. Truly pierced through me and I think about it every day. Very topical now that I think abt our current political landscape too …. Love Joan down
