cooking some ’cheap pasta‘ for me and my brother. the garlic here in Marseille is amazing. I am working my way through the wine I bought to use in the pasta and I have a tin of anchovies as a cooking snack. very pleased with myself

It can be easy, cheap, and makes good leftovers.
Sometimes I will just doctor up a jar-sauce and add fresh basil and parm and it is pretty good for the amount of effort.
If I feel like I need more protein or veggies it is easy to add.
I recently tried a recipe that has anchovies, green olives, garlic, capers, cherry tomatoes, and lots of olive oil. I liked it a lot, but realize it is not for everyone.

Each person has those items that will consistently be in their pantries. Mine are garlic, some kind of onion or shallot, red pepper, tomato paste, parm, and what I tell myself is high quality olive oil. Take those things, cook them how you please, and put it on pasta. It’s almost as easy as buttered noodles but more flavorful anf fulfilling than that. When I’m feeling lazy, this is one of the best things I can do for myself. Take your pantry staples and try it out.

this song is incredible i cannot stop listening to it, the whole album is great too.
i find dec/january is amazing for music because i am very lazy so i only go back and try new stuff when all of the end of year lists come out. this was high on a lot of them and thankfully i gave it a go
