yolk i think you have to think about light & contrast a lot more! as it adds so much more to your b&w photos when you can tell there’s either a colour/shade difference. all about light! good luck shooting!!
i'm just a hobbyist who happened to be given two film cameras for free so I started shooting to mess around. some of my fav photos i've taken were made using "incorrect" methods and just accidentally having settings/film stocks that made the results look interesting. film is a cool medium and some of the most fun I have shooting is trying to do things less conventionally for the hell of it. shoot on expired film, do double exposures, leave the shutter open way too long, go shoot random stuff and you'll get some pretty results.
started as a passion project with work and ended up having an incredible time. we filmed in a very desert type environment and was all about sustainability. i learnt so much. it isn’t the most perfect thing in the world but the lessons ive taken from it are truly priceless
might be a little simple but always hits. 2/3x leeks
5/6 medium potatoes (chopped into bite size pieces)
1x onion
1x garlic
500ml stock of your choice
30ml sour cream/creme fraiche 1. chop your onion, garlic, potatoes and leeks and put into a pan. let that gently fry for 5-6 mins.
2. season with chilli flakes, pepper and a little salt.
3. pour in your stock and turn up heat to boil.
4. leave to simmer for 20 mins.
5. take off the heat, stir in your sour cream or crème fraiche, and season to ur taste. a song for this i’m feeling something a little joni mitchell vibe as this is soooo warm & cosy. maybe joni mitchell - help me
winter has some short days but they feel so long, i’m so tired. so i’ve recently realised that i don’t need to rush, i can just walk. i don’t need to stay indoors all day because i know it’s going to get dark quickly, i still have a day to go outside.
