milk i saw
i saw this milk outside someone’s house and it really made me think how you never see traditional milk bottles anymore. i didn’t know milkmen were still a thing, even. i thought about how easy it would be to take some of the milk. i didn’t take any of the milk.

There’s a local dairy in my area that makes low-temp pasteurized non homogenized milk (which I think is one example of a nice normal middle between mass produced dairy and raw milk) and they package it in glass bottles and you can return them and get a credit! I was really into it for a while when I was making a lot of cappuccinos at home but unfortunately I kept buying them and finding them to be spoiled even though they were well within the expiration date :[ but the dream was fun while it lasted…

i always think about people that steal. i’ve had many things stolen and i do my part not to steal but that’s apparently not a widely understood social contract. Not stealing is socialist. I’ve also been thinking about how walking on one side of the sidewalk is socialist. probably.

i survived, but don't like it
we always had raw milk at home when i was a kid, as it was bought from neighbors with a cow. it didn't seem out of the ordinary and no one felt bad, but i never liked it because of the weird smell

milk is back, not really a groundbreaking revelation but beyond the libtardoatmilk altlitrawmilk culture wars, in the hinterlands of regular people are the historical milkheads, real life long milk lovers. sure there are some raw milk dogmatics but they’re not wearing archival elena velez. any dairy in liquid form is fair game, kefir, ayran milk, lassi. milk is good, milk is refreshing,it is good to be amongst people who understand.

great thing about this app
i see really cool/ funny/ smart people and 90% of the time they just follow me back straight away. it’s one of the joys of not having a big following — you can make more friends with strangers! i think the art of that is lost with influencer culture, because why would you follow a ‘fan’ back straight away (particularly when you have 50k plus of them?) also i’m a ‘rising user’ after posting like 6 times which gives me a huge ego boost. dual purpose
when i want a cig and i‘m tipsy ill walk up to the smoking area and if there’s someone who looks friendly and cool i’ll say ‘you know how we’ve known each other our whole lives? you know how we’re long lost friends? please can i have a cig?’ and they’re so baffled by it that it a) mostly always works and b) makes them want to keep talking to you because of your strange and bold behaviour
