getting a physical copy is a little tough nowadays but if you can get your hands on an issue of raw digitally (and theyโre definitely out there) it is the premiere book of art comics. some of the greatest underground comic illustrators were in these books. i thankfully own a decent amount of the big books and theyโre a prized posession of mine. https://youtu.be/cPX4TiyJFPA?si=3ntOWqEuHpgRqboh
Art magazines have always been a huge wonder for me, probably because Iโm too young to have been alive in their heyday. My dad used to write for Creem covering Detroit punk bands back in the day, and I grew up looking through all his old copies. This magazine, run by one one of my best friends Naz Kawakami, gives me that same feeling of belonging and obsession I used to get when I was a kid. Its graphic design in particular is incredible, reminds me a lot of what Chris Ashworth did with Raygun in the 90s. Def pick one up when you spot one.
