Ever have a drink you want to put down, but youāre lounging on your couch and couldnāt be bothered to navigate between a side / coffee table and your fully-lounged-comfortable-almost-asleep position? Couch coasters (as seen on TV!!) are an ideal solution! Sure, they definitely sacrifice form for function, but that is where some of the beauty comes from. These coasters are bright red, have long āwingsā to hug your couchās arms, and an insert to allow for a more cozy fit for smaller cups and cans. So these coasters hug the arms of a couch, does that render them unusable when youāre stuck with the center seat? Im glad you asked! Nope! The weighted wings sit flat next to you when there are no couch arms in sight.
I found her for $15 at Goodwill and I was taken by the simplicity and sweetness of her shape and loved the little storage compartment on the left. It took me a while to realize that you can push in the circle on the topmost center panel to lift them up and expose a hidden shelf underneath! I have a dedicated office space but I use it for yoga and Pilates too so I love that I can avoid being psychologically and energetically terrorized by my work laptops and equipmentāthis would be a great feature for someone who lives in a one-bedroom or studio and you could use it as a multipurpose working surface! Iāve been delusionally telling myself that I want to refinish it and line the shelf and compartment with ornate floral contact paper⦠we shall see about that but Iām happy with it even in its current state. Still seeking the perfect chair at the perfect seat height that sings to me
