can we say it's bad? yes we can and we should. pls that misogynistic crap being treated like revolutionary feminism is so revolting. even though i get the resemblance with the discourse on female standards being higher and how hollywood exploits women (and bodies) but this is not the answer you think it's so innovative to the problem
sincerely surprised at how well received this was/still is and genuinely disappointed when I actually watched it. So clearly written for a white audience with little to no concept of intersectionality and a pretty individualistic, college/101 intro-to, perspective of feminism? Heavily reflected in how painfully flat the plot played out tho they did their best to cover that with cloying sets/costumes, claiming its camp when its just a big budget and lacklustre writing. Lot of direct slaps in the face to native viewers and other communities im sure; its a pretty laborious watch otherwise id give a more detailed dive
Wtf was that half baked movie!!! Why was there a blank screen between every shot!?! Whoever the editor was, u r fired. Goodbye!!! The best part was the less than one min of julia fox; the rest was just awkward dialogue and a bunch of disjointed uncomf scenes that made no sense. Reveals were made too early; the twist was easy to suspect; it felt that it was made purely to be shown on a cinematographer’s portfolio reel bc the first person shooting was the coolest part about it.
His films are so funny and smart and calculated. It's all about the sinister nature of humanity and fears. They're not at all boring and they're super classic genre so.
