I am certifiably lazy with skin care, I will only stick with a routine if it’s 3 steps tops. Here it is: First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads. I believe jennie recommended a while back and I’ve used them ever since! Costco Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence. It’s true, it’s great. I’ve used it for years and it doesn’t clog my pores which most moisturizers do. CeraVe moisturizing tinted sunscreen. I don’t wear make up so this gives me just a bit of color while also doubling as my sunscreen. For face wash, I keep CeraVe in my shower and use that. For nightly, I use Zinc Therapy cleanser because ya girl has psoriasis that flares up with hormonal changes and the cold. If I’m not struggling with that I’ll just use the CeraVe. Eventually I will add a retinoid when I am done breastfeeding.

Makeup remover - byoma melting balm cleanser - cerave hydrating cleanser Moisturiser - Nivea creme lazy day - bioderma sensibio H2O I used to be a full skincare girly, and then my skin got really bad and I read a lot about the skincare industry and how insidious and awful it is. Now I essentially just use 4 things. A cleanser, I use cerave hydrating cleanser. And a moisturiser, in my opinion the more simple the better. My favourite is the embryolisse lait creme, but it’s a lil spenny so I mostly use Nivea soft, which I find to be really similar and costs like £2. the third thing is an oil based cleansing balm for makeup removal. atm I use Bioma, which is the affordable replacement for the very expensive Clinique cleansing balm. I also use an spf (but controversially only when it’s sunny as I live in the U.K. and we have a much bigger vitamin d deficiency problem than we do a skin damage one). Unfortunately I’ve never found a face suncream that isn’t expensive, so atm I use laroche possay, but it lasts me ages cause there isn’t much sun here. for ease and laziness I also use bioderma micellar water for days when Im too tired to wash my face or I’m taking off makeup on the go. I have mostly dry/combo and a little sensitive skin, but this routine will work for any skin type (might need a lighter moisturiser if oily). In the U.K. to but this entire routine with full size bottles would cost around £37, and my skin is infinitely better than it was when I was using elaborate and expensive skin care routines!

AM: no face wash, just a water cleanse, Benton Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream, Beauty of Joseon Rice + Probiotic SPF 50 PM: safflower cleansing oil (i decant some in a bottle and add a few drops of spearmint oil which is great if you have PCOS), Pyunkang Yul Acne Gel Cleanser, Cetaphil Moisturising Cream. Maybe I’ll throw in a toner if im feeling crazy. I like Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Toner. i also use the Cerave Retinol Resurfacing Serum and COSRX’s BHA Blackhead Power Liquid twice a week at night (never both products on the same day) and the I’m From Mugwort Mask once a week.

Taking care of my skin has boosted my confidence more than anything ever has. Right now my nighttime routine is wash my face with Bobbi Brown soothing cleansing oil, curolgy, retinal, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, the ole henrikson undereye cream, and triple antibiotic ointment. My morning routine is washing my face with Sonya Dakar gentle facial milk cleanser, spray my face with Osea sea mineral mist, Osea hyaluronic sea serum, Sonya Dakar nano hydrator moisturizer and Sonya Dakar SPF 30. If I go outside a lot I use 50 spf. I had cystic acne when I was younger and Curology really changed my skin. It completely cleared it up. I’m so grateful for it. When I was younger I tried absolutely everything. Salt water, mouth wash, that nuetrogena face wash with the micro plastics in it. Nothing really worked until Curology. I also take Tri-Sprintec birth control because it is the most effective at clearing your skin. If I have a break out I take Doxycycline which is an antibiotic that stops acne from forming. It’s been a lot of work and not easy but I’m so happy I did it. I love face masks too. My favorite is Blue Tansy from Herbivore. It’s a nice exfoliator that really changes your skin. I notice a big difference with it. I also love sheet masks. Innis Free has my favorites. They just feel so effective to me. A nice evening to me is staying in and taking care of my skin. I love to steam my face, do an exfoliating face mask, then a pore cleaning one and then a moisturizing one. Then I do an eye mask and all of my skincare steps. It feels so good and I look amazing when I wake up.

Humans have always danced. It is part of who we are, yet we have been conditioned to be self conscious, to think that we do not move our bodies good enough. Dancing is beyond judgement. Dancing is not a skill, it is our soul moving through our bodies, expressed in movement. Dancing is healing. Dancing is bodily autonomy. Dancing is FUN! Any feeling you are feeling can be moved through with dance yet even alone, you fear looking foolish. Kill the judge in your mind, shut the fuck up, and MOVE 🌊
