Going from country, to state, to city you really see the design teams get smaller and smaller. It’s so awesome. There’s some genuinely great designs, but then you get some real goofs. Personal fave is an old version of the Pocatello Idaho flag; It looks more like a placemat for a diner than a flag. so epic
During peak Covid brain rot my home town of newton Massachusetts had a controversy over the similarity between the thin red line flag (for firefighter support) and the thin blue line flag. To solve this they hired the guy who does the flags for all the warlord dictator dudes to come up with a new flag for fire fighter support. I guess my recommendation here is to design more shitty flags cause they are pretty funny.
We have symbols for stuff like trapping and hunting, let’s get serious and add some new ones that don’t annoy me
1. 🦃 Turkey: you get this symbol if your family runs a turkey trot every year, so that I can tell you to quickly stay the hell away from me
2. 🛩️ Plane: you earn this symbol if you have either been involved in an aviation accident or have flown on a plane that ran out of pretzels. No there will be no differentiation between these two events. No this does not indicate you have a pilots license.
3. 🧊 Cube: you get this if you have ever solved a Rubik’s cube
4. 🚽 Toilet: you get this symbol if you have IBS as proof that if you are caught speeding, it is likely that you need to use a bathroom asap
5. 🦷 Tooth (but imagine an X over it): you earn this symbol if you have had your wisdom teeth removed
6. 🤡 Clown: you get this symbol if you have makeup registered with the Clowns International Egg Registry
