Anything that plays with balance is fun. And I liked tracking my journey of improvement in crow My fav part is when teachers would do guided meditation or breathing together in savasana. Half the reason I was taking these classes was to manage my anxiety and that helped.

Meditative, gentle movement and breath work. Clear your mind, focus on the moves and tune into your chi. Improves balance and connection with the earth. Great to do alone or with a group when everyone has learned the moves. Plus the moves have cool names like “parting the wild horse’s mane”, “grasp the sparrow’s tail”, and “snake creeps down”.

I know it’s a good meditation or yoga practice when my eyes spontaneously water and I feel a strong sense of relief, letting go of tension. I had the strangest realization that I’ve done yoga for my root, sacral, solar plexus, and heart chakras countless times, but despite knowing that one should run through each chakra from bottom to top like a ladder, I’ve only done yoga for the throat, third eye, and crown a handful of times, if that. Fell asleep AGAIN during this practice (third night in a row!) but during shavasana like a normal person.

I started doing morning Yoga a couple years ago and it changed my life. I use an app called Downward Dog. i usually wake up with monkeys in my head — so having to move in order align myself helps. I usually meditate after the session and then go downstairs to make myself some coffee. Even when I travel, I tend to keep the same rhythm. It grounds me.

If the voice in your head is being too mean ask it if it would talk to someone you love this way. My internal monologue can be a 💩 and this sometimes can help it be more constructive
