Levin is one of my favorite contemporary authors, and I think Bubblegum is a masterpiece. It is the fictional memoir of Belt Magnet (a neurotic man child who can speak to inanimate objects) about living in an alternate world where the internet was never invented. Itโ€™s lowbrow, itโ€™s highbrow, itโ€™s sad, itโ€™s funny, and it made me rethink my general distaste for contemporary literature. -Jack

I like having a historical record of the shows I've been to, and I'm sad that many places don't do physical tickets anymore. How do we fix this? Does anyone know a guy?

Unlike a bath where you stew in self hatred, a shower offers a continuous flow to wash the shame as each new thought appears. -Davis

Something fun I learned while on a rock climbing trip in Kentucky. Best done outside in the cold, but you could also do it in your kitchen. Lay a paper towel on tinned fish in oil, let it soak up the oil, and light it on fire from the edges. Let it burn for 5-10 minutes, warm your hands, revel, enjoy community, lift the paper towel off, and enjoy smoked fish. -Jack
