I read a lot for school. To ease the pain that causes, Iāve decided to read even more. But stuff I choose. For the love of god I just need to lessen the percent of my time occupied by utter academic gibberish.
Hereās what I purchased on Saturday. Iām reading Dubliners first and saving Dostoyevsky for when the weatherās less depressing.
Iāve read the Wittgenstein book and Waiting for Godot but just need to own my own copies at this point.

I didnāt think I would be tempted by the god forsaken Shakespeare and Co.
I always go to bookstores (libraries as the French say) and buy books I never read, but today was just too good to pass up. Hoping I actually finish the book I got (Giovanniās Room) because itās gotten so much praise, I love Baldwin, and itās so short. It would be a shame if I didnāt finish it actually.
So yes, my recommendation is to go outside and read a new book. My goal is to ready 10 more leisure books before I turn 21. Idk if thatāll happen though.

Trying to re-enter my literate era and exit my iPad baby era because ebooks are not cutting itā¦ I finally explored the library in my new neighborhood and it was glorious. I forgot how exciting it is to leave the library with a veritable HAUL! when I was a kid I would check out like 30 books at a time, fiction and nonfiction, just whatever piqued my interest as I walked through the shelves. Returning them was always an ordeal where I would have to go through the receipt item by item to make sure I didnāt miss anything. I exercised self control this time so it wasnāt that extreme but I can tend to want to flit from book to book so getting a mix of titles felt right.
Iām most excited about Joyce Carol Oatesā newest novel Butcher and will probably start with that because her writing is addictive and I love her deranged fanfiction accounts of real life historical subjects that end up feeling more real than the actual facts (lol Iāll drop the synopsis in the comments because itās kind of long)

Groundhogs day loot drop. The waist tag says āGrenadierā and I canāt find anything about that brand other than like a couple pieces of clothing on Poshmark. Anyways for 10 Canuck Bucks Iām v happy with them.
