I love Sarah Brightmanâs voice and grew up listening to the original cast recording of Phantom of the Opera so I was actually looking for that and just stumbled upon her cover of Hooverphonicâs 1998 song. This song is absolutely insane. Soooo sexy and powerful⌠I didnât know Sarah Brightman got down like that!!!!!!! đł Iâm obsessed. I shared it with my friend and she agreed that itâs one of the most beautiful things sheâs ever heard and she said the comment section on YouTube is unusually thoughtful. The whole album is gorgeous but this one is my favorite.
iâve been obsessed w different versions of this sacred harp song since hearing kristin michael hayterâs, and rn gwenifer raymondâs is my favorite. it feels more playful than others (maybe bc the revelations-core lyrics arenât there lol)
I canât listen to this song in front of other people- the vocals sound like theyâre being sang by an animatronic cowgirl. Its a really weird find, but the lyrics are too well written to be cringe, and the melody is realll catchy. Her album Greasepaint Smile is unironically very beautiful though :-)
My dad teases me about how when I was a little kid, my favorite thing to do when I was on the landline phone with somebodyâbe it a relative or one of my best friendsâwas to breathlessly describe the things that were in my bedroom so that they could have a mental picture of everything I loved and chose to surround myself with, and where I sat at that moment in time. Perfectly Imperfect reminds me of that so thanks for always listening and for sharing with me too đ
