New York Times Games be damned, your sudoku interface rocks. That being said, sudoku on paper is where it's at. Specifically those mini puzzle books you can get at Dollar Tree. I stock up on 'em – one for my bag, one for the car, one for home, and a backup to replenish.

I love my little NYTimes games ritual (start with easy Sudoku, then medium Sudoku, Connections, Crossword, hard Sudoku, Tiles, and finally Spelling Bee if I feel really locked in). Still, the brain health benefits and fun of these puzzles feel diminished when I realize this is HOURS of unnecessary screen time. I switched my daily puzzle ritual from online to a paperback, and I have never been happier. I feel so zen doing my sudoku outside like a fucking monk.

I’m addicted to Sudoku and have been for the past six months. My favorite thing is when the day is done and the TV is on and I'm working on a sudoku with my two cats next to me. Pure bliss. I don't like ordering things online and sudoku is actually really hard to find in stores. It's not at drug stores or regular bookshops like you'd expect. You can always find it at the airport or at like Iconic Magazines on mulberry st.

This is a New York Times puzzle that is only printed in the physical paper and I really recommend it. You need to actually think, it’s not a 30 second game. This is for those born and raised on sudoku.

If I have an opportunity to put a bay leaf in something, you'd better believe it's going in there. So simple, so delish, AND makes me feel like a witch. Here's a picture of the Platonic ideal of a bay leaf I put in my rice yesterday. Magical.
