Awesome permanent collection! Great special exhibits (the expressionists exhibit was a lot of fun). I really like how a lot of the museums in England are free for the permanent collection. We just happened to be in the area and it was so easy to make the choice to spend time here without worrying whether or not we were getting our moneys worth
The exhibitions are the perfect size, digestible yet comprehensive - the building is gorg - vibes are warm but not stuffy - and most importantly itโs busy but not madness like the v&a or Tate. The curation is smart and slick, ideally it would have a few more historical/non-contemporary things on, but it still beats others in the area for me. Congrats to me got a membership today
