Kris (from Naive Weekly)- This defines and maps the landscape of the ‘small’ web. This map highlights the projects and ideas that shape it. The result is a beautifully crafted site that offers a visual taxonomy of different ‘types of websites,’ along with a wealth of links to fascinating, personal, and often arcane corners of the internet. These digital spaces are curated by strangers who simply enjoy creating and experimenting online. Have a click around and see where it takes you. Personally, I’m drawn to the feral web this year; it feels fitting.

There are so many awesome websites that people have made and you often find yourself going down the rabbit hole of other websites that the users recommend on their own sites! It’s very community based, which I love sooo much ❤️

A love letter to the Internet of old. Huge web-collage of text and images excavated from the buried neighbourhoods of archived GeoCities websites (1994–2009). It has lots of easter eggs and hidden links to old pages. The gif insanity scratches an itch in my brain, and you'll see something new everywhere you look.

a website full of websites! all independent, hand-crafted, incredibly personal, and wonderfully interesting. this is what inspired me to learn how to code in the first place, so i could make a fun little site and join the indie web community <3 if you're sick of social media, this is a lovely alternative imo

The pettiness of humans optimised- whether it’s familial feuds or thwarted lovers, sometimes these manifest into these amazing cool houses. I’m obsessed with the stories behind these houses!
