Sometimes if I'm by myself and I can't sleep, I just say (in my head) "I love you, _____" to whoever comes to mind.
Once I've gone through all of the obvious loves of my life who I see regularly, people I almost entirely forgot about will come to mind which is sweet, and sometimes people I don't like will come to mind, but because I'm so sleepy I'm like ok whatever all is forgiven love you, which is freeing.
Anyway it feels like I'm sending little wishes to everyone :)

Even if it’s 8am, preemptively wishing sweet dreams for later.
This isn’t as much of a ritual as an impulse but I’m in love with it for two reasons.
One is that people start giggling, before they’re familiar with you saying this all of the time, because they’re thrown off to hear it when they aren’t even close to bedtime.
But also because people start to say it back to you and associate you with it.
My heart melts every day when I leave work or leave the bar to a chorus of people wishing me sweet dreams lol

I think it sends a life line sometimes and I try to do it as often as I remember.

Any man, any task. I’m sure there are other ways to strengthen your relationships with men but this is the easiest I’ve found and my method also gets a task done.
Ask your dad to build shelves, ask some guy on your street to mow your lawn, ask your friend to collect a parcel for you, ask your brother to hang a picture frame. So many tasks get done and so many men feel needed and appreciated. Could offer them a beer to make it transactional but it’s almost never necessary.

Brings my heart rate down by at least 30bpm. It’s so nice to instantly tap into an endless stream of reminders that there are beautiful things in the world and gorgeous people who don’t regret life.
